I am excited....I am turning 50!! Yes, I am happy to admit it. I have been looking forward to this upcoming day since my last Birthday and as I told those of you that were with me last year during the party....I was already planning for this one. Over the past year I have tried to remember memories I have had, some wonderful, some I had rather forget....but those memories are what make up the past 50 years. I can say without pause....I have had a very full and meaningful life and it is by no means over.

I want to celebrate, remember, share and be thankful for what I have now, what I have had and what the future holds for me and I would love for each of you to be a part of the celebration. We are having a count down to the big day.....I have always thought one should give rather than receive....guess that comes from the wonderful upbringing I had....my parents were very giving not just to us, but to others.....so I will randomly pick several posts made between April 4th and May 4th.....whenever I feel the need to give....and then draw a name from the comments within that post....I will post the name drawn and if they contact me by email within 48 hrs of my posting their name.....I will send them a party favor. I have a basket filled with goodies....note cards, antique papers, original artwork, snippets of papers and other ephemera that I want to share with you.

I want to have one big party that starts now and goes through May 4th and each and everyone of you are invited to attend and participate if you so choose........

We all have things to be grateful for and I want you to share with us. Create or share a piece of art, a journal page, something you have written, a story of gratitude.....anything that expresses your gratitude for something or someone. You don't have to give anything away, just share with us....but if you would like to give something away to those that comment to your post, I am sure you would make someone very happy.

Post to your blog with the title of EXPRESSIONS OF GRATITUDE and then go to the Let the Party Begin post and leave a comment with the direct link to your post, not just a link to your blog.....anyone that visits my blog will then have a link to you....this means you get visits from all over the world....some you will already know....some will be new friends....it is a way for you to connect to many new blog friends.

For those of you that also add the CELEBRATE! EXPRESSIONS OF GRATITUDE badge to your blog sidebar as well as a Gratitude post, I will add your blog to a list of participants also celebrating to my sidebar. I will leave the list up through the end of May....that is two months of extra exposure for you and your blog! How is that for giving!!!!
