Did you grow up like me? Being raised in a small town and having a very well known and respected family all eyes were on you! Our parents raised us with, don't say or do anything you don't want on the front page of the newspaper. The same went for the written word, if it was written it was as good as gold. I always keep that in mind in my actions and especially in my writing.
My written words didn't make the front page, but they did make page 3 in the "BUZZ" of the Spring 09 issue of Artful Blogging! Staci Dumoski the Managing Editor contacted me back in early November asking permission to reprint part of my November 5th post in the upcoming issue of Artful Blogging. Of course I said yes!
So remember the "buzz" may be in a local paper or within the covers of an art magazine....think about what you say or do and more importantly the words written and posted anywhere on the Internet as you are fair game to being reprinted. As an artist even your artwork with written words such as art journal pages are open for the world to see and you never know who or when they can or could be used.
To answer some of your inquiring minds....yes I did make the front page of our local paper several times....my accomplishments in school, my engagement, my wedding, when we were the farm family of the year, and more, but never for anything that I regret saying or doing.
Thank you Staci for the mention in Artful Blogging!
